More Hippie Peace Cats!

The Hippie Peace Cat paintings that I posted the other day were so popular, I decided to create some more. They are fun to paint, and they are fun to share!

Today’s Hippie Peace Cats include a Keyboard Cat and a painting of my infamous Brewskie Butt. Trust me, there is irony in this Brewskie painting, as he is rarely a peaceful beast.

I am posting these two paintings for auction. The auction is short lived, so get your bids in fast and watch closely! Enter your bids in the comments below, and be sure to identify your bid with the painting’s name.

The Mystery of Cats – "Keyboard Cat"

Keyboard Cat painting by BZTAT

Something about a cat at a keyboard is both intriguing and amusing.

The  idea has spawned an infinite number of internet memes and jokes about feline frivolity.

A case could be made that the whole business of viral videos began with the infamous Keyboard Cat.

My “Keyboard Cat” painting is a bit different than all that nonsense, but still is fun and mysterious.

It is part of “The Mystery of Cats” show that I will have on display at Second April Galerie starting this Friday during the Canton First Friday event.

The series of feline themed artworks will be on display at Second April Galerie at 324 Cleveland Ave., Canton, OH beginning First Friday (October 5, 2012) and will remain through October 27.

If you are in Canton, I hope you will stop in and see them!

New paintings, New Mural, and Lotsa Fun!

"Promise Keeper" Painting by BZTAT

As I mentioned in my last post here, I am dedicating my “Safe Animals Safe Kids” mural tomorrow during the Canton First Friday festivities. I have invited local animal rescue groups with adoptable pets to be a part of the event, as well as representatives from the Domestic Violence Partnership, Inc.

If you are unable to come to Canton, you can still be a part of things by watching the live USTREAM broadcast beginning at 7:15 pm.

Okey, the little rescue cat who inspired the whole project, is now my dear sweet companion. She still shows some behaviors that reflect a history of trauma, but she has come a long, long way!

She is so fun to paint, too! I will have 3 paintings of her (pictured above and below), in addition to the mural, at the dedication. All will be for sale. Contact me if you are interested in purchasing any of them.

I call all of these paintings “Promise Keeper”. I guess I could number them, but I would lose track. Okey keeps her promise to bring me joy every day, and I work to keep my promise to her to keep her safe and loved.

You can read about the whole Okey’s Promise project here. I will soon be introducing another major Okey’s Promise project. Stay tuned!

I will also have several other paintings of cats and dogs for sale at the Creative Ohio Gallery (310 4th St, NW, next to ACME Artists) during First Friday. Please stop in and check those out as well.

I hope to see you tomorrow, either in Canton, or in cyberspace!
