May Minis – Westie

Whenever I do my art auctions, I always try to do a Westie image because some of my biggest fans are proud pet parents of Westies (West Highland Terriers). They are such fun pups, and so fun to draw!

This a smaller drawing than I usually draw. It is approximately 3″ x 5″ and matted for a 5″ x 7″ frame. I decided for the month of May, I am going to draw some miniature drawings and post them for auction.

Today’s May Mini is a digital drawing of a boxer dog who visits my studio on First Fridays every month. The comfy rug actually is in the studio next door, where the pup’s humans display wood works and photography.

Once again, I have mined my friends’ photo albums for inspiration. This drawing is a photo of a friend’s dog named Patch. What a strikingly beautiful animal she is!!!
