For an artistic challenge, I am making a drawing every day in November. Each drawing will be placed for auction on here on my blog. These drawings will be fun images that will make nice gifts for the upcoming holidays. I have done “Drawing a Day” projects before, and they have been a lot of fun!

Today’s drawing is of a flower sitting cheerfully in the grass, drawn with Prismacolor Pencil and marker on matboard.  I hope that you like it!

Whatever you plant in your garden with intention, there are always surprises. Some are weeds that you want to discard. Some are treasures that enlighten and enrich you. Such is the nature of a garden, of art, and indeed, of life itself.

I thank God for the special surprises that come my way each day.

This a smaller drawing than I usually draw. It is approximately 3″ x 5″ and matted for a 5″ x 7″ frame. I decided for the month of May, I am going to draw some miniature drawings and post them for auction.
