Today’s drawing is a black cat, what some call a “house panther”. I had a black cat once – I have never understood why people think they are bad luck. Mysterious? Of course, just like any other cat. Bad luck? Pshaw.

I did a series of drawings last year of a colony of feral cats with which I intervened. Most of the drawings were sold, but this one did not sell. It was one of my favorites, too. I thought I would post it again to see if there was interest in it now.

I have heard others call cats like this one “Torbies”. They are marked like tortoise shell cats, but their colors are lighter and sort of creamy colored. I think this particular cat was especially striking and pretty.
