Artist BZTAT
Artist Vicki Boatright, known as “BZTAT” (pronounced bee-zee-tat), is the preeminent pet portrait artist for the Contemporary Pet Lover. Animal loving art collectors worldwide have commissioned artworks by BZTAT to celebrate their relationships with their beloved pets. Vicki also creates murals and other artworks that address a variety of themes.
Vicki holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in the visual arts from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She also holds a Masters Degree in counseling from Marshall University. She worked as a mental health therapist for 20 years, and more recently she led an arts studio and gallery for individuals with developmental disabilities. Currently she runs her own studio/gallery, offering workshops, mentoring and individual instruction. Vicki tailors her mentoring and instruction to accommodate persons with special needs so that all people of all abilities have an opportunity to create.
BZTAT Studios LLC is located in the Canton Creator Space on the Southside of the Canton, OH arts district at 730 Market Ave. S, Suite 2. Canton Creator Space is a collaboration between BZTAT Studios and Canton Work Space, offering gallery space, studios, and other creative workspaces for artists and creative entrepreneurs in the Stark County, OH area.
Vicki lives with her 4 fabulous felines: Mia Meow, Ellie, Sky and Antibes (Tibs) on a goat farm in Louisville, OH. Her cats and the goats are often subjects of her artwork. One of her cats, Tibs, rides with her to the studio each day and has become Canton’s favorite studio cat.
Vicki signs her artwork “BZTAT” (pronounced Bee-zee-tat) in homage to a feline companion of that name, who was an artistic inspiration to her for 19 years.
