Dialogues Murals by BZTAT
Dialogues Murals are commissioned artworks that BZTAT creates in collaboration with community groups. BZTAT develops a concept and design for the mural in collaboration with the hosting organization, and then she works with participants to create messages and images that are incorporated into the background. Participants are encouraged to scribe their thoughts, ideas, reflections, drawings, etc. around a designated theme on specially prepared pieces of paper, which BZTAT then collages into the mural. Upon request, BZTAT will speak at events for the formal presentation of the mural.
When the artwork is completed, it becomes the property of the contracting agency. Although the artist retains the rights to the image, the organization will be permitted, and encouraged, to use the image in publications for educational purposes.
Interested in commissioning a mural? Costs include materials purchases, artist fee, and speaker fee if requested, starting at $3000. Travel and lodging expenses are extra. Special arrangements may be available for nonprofit organizations, including assistance to obtain grant funding or corporate sponsorship.
