Sometimes I get very intense working on custom pet portraits – so intense that I need to take a break and do something just for fun.

Yesterday was one of those days.

Not sure what I wanted to paint, I posted a photo of a blank board on my Facebook pages, and asked for suggestions. One person suggested, “Hippie Kitty”. And that is how the “Hippie Peace Cats” got started.

I have to admit, I was incredibly pleased with the first 2 results. They are fun, colorful and they make you smile and chuckle. I have a feeling this will be an ongoing theme.
