The third annual Battle of the Brush is now history, but what an event in history it was!

The creative energy that filled the gym at Timken High School in Canton, OH on Saturday, 3/27/10 was awe inspiring.

Professional artists Joseph Close, Dana Muntean and Sue Steiner (and myself) set the bar high for the 13 student teams that participated. But the students excelled to amazing heights on their own.

The creative inspiration, talent and theme interpretation was astounding!

The video above, created by Robb Hankins, CEO of ArtsinStark, captures some of the energy, but this is truly an event you have to experience first hand to fully appreciate.

I thank each and every artist, student and professional, for their creative enthusiasm with this year’s Battle of the Brush. I can hardly wait for next year’s event, as it just gets better every year!
